Unveiling the Mystery of Perfect Curls

Unveiling the Mystery of Perfect Curls

Different hair types need specific care. In the following article, we'll cover tips for maintaining healthy curls without damaging your hair.

To begin with, let's talk about the various types of curls

Do you know your curl type?

People with curly hair love experimenting with products and techniques to enhance and style their curls. On the other hand, some women prefer hair with more volume and look for ways to achieve this desired look. However, no matter what type of hair you have, the most important thing is to take good care of your locks.
Looking after your hair involves choosing the right products, regular moisturizing, protection against damage and gentle handling. Understanding your hair's specific needs is essential to keeping it beautiful and healthy, whether it's for curl definition, volume or general health.

Constant moisturizing

Curly hair is naturally drier due to the spiral shape of the strands, which makes it difficult to distribute oil from the scalp.
For this reason, it is necessary to take care of it regularly by using treatment masks with active ingredients that promote deep hydration.

Only comb your hair when it's wet

Ideally, you should remove excess water and comb your hair when it is still damp with wide-toothed combs.

Cut regularly

As hair grows, curls lose their shape, giving way to what is known as the pyramidal effect. This phenomenon occurs when the root becomes “flat” and sticks to the scalp and the curls are concentrated at the ends.
To prevent this from happening and restore lightness to your hair, the biggest secret is to cut the ends regularly.

Wavy hair

The classification of hair curvature follows straight hair and is characterized by more open waves than curls and frizz.

Types of curls:

Waves 2 A
This type of wave has straight roots, fine strands and open waves.
One of the advantages of this type of hair is that it is easier to straighten than to curl.

2B waves
Unlike 2A, this type of hair has more closed waves, while remaining straight at the roots. For this reason, a valuable tip is to use a diffuser and a finisher to stimulate the formation of curls.

2C waves
This type of hair has a lot of volume, but with more open curls. For this type of hair, use styling creams and finishers to define the waves, reduce frizz and keep the strands aligned.

Curly hair

Curly hair has tighter curls, making it difficult to distribute natural oils, leading to frizz, dryness and fragility.
Type 3A

This type of hair has looser curls, with wide curves. Tip: The ideal is to use a styling cream to finish.
Type 3B

They have waves at the roots and closed curls along the entire length of the hair. This type of curl tends to have more frizz. Tip: It's important to add anti-frizz products to your shopping list.

Type 3C
This type of curl is more closed from the length and the hair tends to be thicker.
Tip: all kinds of products for curly hair.
